Long Lasting Perfume for Men

If your fragrance disappears by lunchtime, the problem is concentration, not application. High-street men's scents are usually eau de toilette at 5–15% fragrance oil. Ours are blended at 20–35%, which is why they are still detectable at the end of a working day and on your coat the next morning.

Why most men's fragrances fade fast

Oil concentration is the main factor, but not the only one. Citrus and aquatic notes are volatile and burn off within a few hours. Amber, oud, vanilla and woods are heavy molecules that cling. A scent built on cedar, ambroxan and labdanum will outlast a lemon-and-sea-notes scent every time, at the same concentration.

The longest lasting families

Amber and oriental — 12+ hours, strongest projection, best in autumn and winter. Leather and woody — 12+ hours, bold and formal. Woody aromatic — 10–14 hours, the best year-round office option. Fresh spicy — 8–12 hours, the most versatile. Citrus aromatic — 6–9 hours, summer only if you want all-day wear.

How to make any fragrance last longer

Apply to moisturised skin — dry skin sheds scent quickly, so an unscented moisturiser first makes a measurable difference. Spray pulse points from 15cm and never rub. One spray onto a shirt collar or jacket lining; fabric holds scent for days. Store bottles away from sunlight, heat and the bathroom — humidity degrades the oils.

Frequently asked questions

What is the longest lasting perfume for men?
Amber, oud and leather-based fragrances last longest — typically 12+ hours on skin — because the base molecules are heavier and evaporate slowly. Citrus and aquatic scents fade fastest.
How long should a men's fragrance last?
A good eau de parfum should give 8+ hours. At 20–35% fragrance oil, ours typically run 10–14 hours on skin and longer on clothing.
Why does my aftershave disappear after two hours?
Most likely it is an eau de toilette at 5–15% oil, applied to dry skin. Moisturise first, apply to pulse points without rubbing, and switch to a higher-concentration scent.
How many sprays should I use?
Two to the chest and one to the neck is enough for a high-concentration fragrance. More than four is noticeable to everyone but you.
Which one should I start with?
A woody aromatic or fresh spicy scent — they cover office, daytime and evening, and are the most widely complimented in our range.
